Today we worked on Testing Anxiety!
We read Harold and the Purple Crayon.
Harold faces a lot of problems! Lack of sleep, struggling to stay on the “straight and narrow” path, facing scary dragons, drowning in an ocean, falling off a cliff, and getting lost in a maze of windows that just aren’t the right fit..
Harold uses his wits and his purple crayon to problem solve and find his way home. Through it all, the MOON stays with him.
So much of our life can be similar to Harold’s. Especially during testing season. We talked about how to take care of ourselves, problem solve, and keep our sight on the moon. Who is your moon? Someone who never leaves you, supports you, and guides you along the way.
Remember- you are more than a test score. You are SMART, and there are lots of people here that have your back!
Ps- Harold and the Purple Crayon is a test book. The students were able to get extra AR points today!
